Bro. Brian E. Alleyne
Brother Brian E. Alleyne was born and raised in Boston, Ma. Bro. Alleyne attended Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he majored in Computer Engineering. While there, he was initiated into Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., via Beta Alpha Chapter in Fall 1998. After 8 years working within his field at a Bio-Pharmaceutical company in Boston, Bro. Alleyne realized that he had another calling, Culinary Arts.
Brother Alleyne’s decision to switch career paths arose from the joy and satisfaction he gained serving as a caterer on the weekends. On a regular basis, he hosted dinners for friends and prepared meals for Sigma and other Divine Nine organizations’ events. As such, his passion for Culinary Arts was organically growing until he decided that it should be his career. Accordingly, in order to ensure that his talent for Culinary Arts would be fully developed, he enrolled in the New England Center for Arts & Technology. There he officially earned the title of “Chef.”
Over the years, Bro. Alleyne has taken the time to hone his craft which included mentoring under celebrity Chef Ming Tsai. The sum of his training, passion, and entrepreneurial spirit led him to open Simply Irresistible Cuisine. Simply Irresistible Cuisine is an in-home dining experience that provides restaurant-quality service in the comfort of your home. Combining his acumen for delighting the palate of sophisticated “foodies” with his expertise on the grill (traditional barbecue and smoker), Bro. Alleyne created his own line of rubs, spices, and sauces. His success with this line of products has led to his second venture: “Wise Guys Barbeque.” Bro. Alleyne shares:
My journey in culinary arts has not been easy and I continue to have challenges but my love and passion continue to drive me. During this past year with the Covid19 pandemic, it would have been easy to give up; instead, I was pushed to promote and excel in my businesses even more while also serving my community. Whether providing seniors with meals or providing lunches for students, I continued to serve. With many restaurants closing and having social distancing being a concern, Simply Irresistible has proven to be a much-needed and desired service as we allow people to continue to experience fine dining.
