Brother Osei Millar was introduced to Phi Beta Sigma as an adolescent, being the younger blood brother of a fellow Beta Alpha Brother. Bro. Osei Millar explains:

In a lot of ways, the morals and ideals of the organization exemplified those instilled in us by strong parents. The responsibility of being a Division 1 student-athlete and a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. required a serious commitment on the court, in the classroom, and in my community. However, the discipline that I achieved in honoring my commitment to them all helped serve as a pillar both personally and professionally.

Bro. Osei Millar’s morals and ideals also require that he serves his community. Bro. Osei Millar uses his experience and position to mentor brothers and sisters aspiring to enter the financial services industry while also guiding everyday people to meet their financial goals:

My career has been spent in service of everyday people... While Wall St. may have the reputation of being self-serving and rooted in greed to some, fundamentally, I’ve always seen it as a vehicle to foster wealth and promote financial well-being over the long-term. I feel as though I have a duty to continue to share the value of investing with my community.

Bro. Osei Millar transferred from Boston College to Hofstra University where he continued to be a Division 1 student-athlete. There he completed his studies and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications/Marketing.
